I took Hayden today for his 2 month vaccinations. I am pondering who they are harder for... mothers or babies?? I know for sure it was hard for me to watch him get jabbed with 3 needles. I myself had to get a needle (an update on my Tetnis/Diptheria) and was more scared for his needles than my own!
Hayden was very good while the Health Nurse measured his body and head circumference, and weighed him. He is in the 25th percentile for all measurements when compared to other newborns his age, and when his measurements are compared with themselves he is in the 50th percentile. Long story short..... he is growing proportionatly and well. The Health Nurse had no concerns with him and said to continue with the feeding schedule and amount we are currently on.
When we got to the needles Hayden was not a happy camper. He screamed loudly and cried a lot while getting the needles. However once finished he calmed down quickly and ate an entire bottle. He has slept most of the day away, which has been great to get things done! He hasn't spiked a fever yet... and we are hoping it will continue that way. He hasn't been super cranky and is eating regularly... all good signs I hope! I will keep you updated if anything changes!
Hopefully his 4 month vaccinations go just as well!
