So today was the first day we tried some rice cereal. It went pretty well and Hayden was able to keep it down. I guess he was ready to start solids after all. First of all we played with it a little bit on our tray, then we had a few spoonfuls, and ended up with a cereal face.



I am so proud of him and all of his accomplishments, but I am also sad we are already at this stage. He is growing up so fast and is already a littly boy. He is getting more fun though, so it is bittersweet! We will continue to let you know how our food trials go!

Since he was born, Hayden has been sleeping in our room with us. He has been sleeping through the night for quite some time and could have easily been transfered to his room and his crib earlier, but we have held off.

Since I wanted to get up for the Royal Wedding (which I LOVED by the way) and had to set an alarm, I left Hayden in his room for the night. This was NERVE wracking for me! I was worried for a lot of reasons:
1. What if the monitor battery ran out and I couldn't hear him anymore
2. What if I couldn't hear him at all, and he spent the night crying
3. What if he suffocated himself with a blanket, etc

However, none of these things happened and we were successful and now spends his nights in his own room. He has been napping in there for awhile during the day, but now spends all of his sleeping hours in his own room!

Let's hope that the sleeping through the night continues, and we continue to have success in our own room!

Instead of sleeping or eating tonight, all we wanted to do was read a book!!! Hayden wanted to hold it and turn pages and, well, eat the book mostly! It was pretty cute!

The nice weather has finally arrived and we are able to start developing our backyard. Curtis and his dad picked up all of the materials needed this afternoon and by dinner time had the footings and frame done for our future deck! It looks great already!

So on Saturday Curtis and I opened an RESP for Hayden. How scary is it to think that we already have to start putting money away toward his education, and that, chances are, no matter how much we put away it probably won't be enough to cover half of his post-secondary education costs!!

Hayden and The Wiggles

There is a story to this video: Hayden hadn't been feeling well with his teeth and developed a pretty bad diaper rash. It hurt his bum to have a diaper on and to sit on/in anything. So to let him "air out" I took his diaper off and sat him in his vibrating chair. After awhile he got bored so I turned the tv to TreeHouse and The Wiggles was on. This was his reaction.!

P.S. Neither Curtis nor I are fans of The Wiggles now after watching the show! it was a little creepy and a lot annoying!

Look at my little snowman! The weather was so nice today that Mommy put me in my snowsuit, harnessed me into her wrap, and we walked to our playdate! Sooo much fun and a good workout for Mommy :P Thanks Leanne, Kim and Elaine for my adorable snowsuit!
